In Between Currents

As a fluid moves past an obstacle a void is created on the downstream side.  In order to fill the void, fluid from downstream flows back, creating a current that swirls and often times flows in the opposite direction of the main current.  The transitional line between the two currents is known as the “eddyline”.  This dynamic is present in everything from weather systems, to rivers, to ocean currents.  These currents are in a constant state of flux and differences in anything from temperature, water levels, or erosion can create change in the system.  These transitions offer reflection in beautiful changing patterns, or inspire awe with amazing and sometimes violent exhibits of nature.  It is from this phenomenon that Eddyline Photography takes its name.  One of the key elements in photography is capturing a moment in time; be it transitions of light, seasons, weather, or the ever changing world of people and events.  Eddyline Photography wishes to capture and share these moments with others so that they may have a glimpse, and perhaps be transported to their own place of reflection, or maybe even spend a brief moment in between the currents….
